The Arom & Sens concept has existed successfully in Madagascar for 25 years, under the former name BioAroma. With Arom & Sens, Helga Hoess and her team have created a new structure that consists of eight permanent employees, most of whom are women.
We chose the island of Madagascar for two reasons:
- The unique diversity of its endemic flora
- To build a bridge between the exceptionally , traditional , malagasy knowledge and modern medicine.
There are currently two Arom & Sens:
The first in Antananarivo, Madagascar, a relaxing place in the busy city. We develop our own cosmetic products, shower gels, balms, shampoos and massage oils, use them in the massage rooms, offer them for sale and deliver to hotels in the six provinces of Madagascar.
The second is located in Aix-en-Provence, France, and is run by Helga, the founder and expert in essential oils. It offers therapeutic treatments such as Shiatsu, Chi-nei Tsang, and reflexology. At the same time, we have been focusing on the export of essential oils and vegetable oils since 2018 in order to make the Malagasy knowledge and Malagasy oils known in Europe.
Respect ... we strive to make products that respect your skin, your health and the environment. Our products are tested in the laboratory and we give access to the certificates of analysis with the lot number.
Quality… concerning the product, but also our relationships with our manufacturers, employees and customers. We encourage the exchange of knowledge by combining modernity and knowledge of ancestors. All of our products are natural, pure, free of parabens, colors, and other chemicals, and not tested on animals.
Transparency ... We attach great importance to being transparent for our customers from the origin to the packaging of our products. We offer our employees not only solidarity but also additional support during treatment or hospital stays. This support also applies to distiller teams and their families.
Helga Höss, a former nurse, has trained over the past 20 years: reflexology, Reiki, Shiatsu, Chi-nei Tsang, Kobido, beautician, massages, Dien chan, which she has been practicing since 1998.
